Course Contract

UTAIKO Course Contract

Are you a minor?
yes
no

At Utah Taiko, we are committed to making Taiko accessible to our rural community.

Exceptional Value: A fair market assessment revealed that similar programs in larger metropolitan areas typically start at $150 per month - three times our current rate.

Our Commitment to You: We choose to offer these courses at a fraction of their value to ensure anyone can participate.

Your Commitment to Us: Because we operate on such thin margins to keep costs low, we rely on full-semester commitments from our students to build a sustainable business here in Sanpete.

Course Options:

Fall and Spring Semesters consist of a minimum of 17 sessions (approx. 5 months), bi-monthly courses include a minimum of 8 sessions per semester

Summer Sessions include a minimum of 8 weekly sessions (or 4 sessions for bi-monthly format).

Lesson Length:

Standard weekly sessions: 85 minutes

Bi-monthly sessions: 3 hours

Course Fees:

  • Fall or Spring Semester: $300 per student

  • Summer Session: $150 per student

  • Fees are payable in monthly installments of $50

*Please note the monthly payment plan does not mean monthly enrollment. Students commit to the full course term and agree to complete all payments regardless of attendance.

Continuing Enrollment

Enrollment in UTAIKO courses is structured on a per-semester basis. Enrollment automatically renews from semester to semester.

  • Cancellation Policy: If you do not wish to continue into the next semester, you must provide written notice of cancellation at least one month prior to the start of the new term.

  • Commitment: Once a semester begins, students are committed to the full term and are responsible for the total semester fee. There is no month-to-month enrollment option.

  • Automatic Renewal: Unless canceled in writing by the deadline, your spot is reserved and you will be invoiced for the upcoming semester's tuition.

Students who continue semester to semester save $50 per semester.

i.e. Spring semester: $300, Summer: $150, Fall $300 = $750 per year. Continuing enrollment is $50 per month x 12 months = $600

So you save $150 per year when continuing your enrollment.

Flexible Attendance:

  • Students are registered for one official “home class,” which reserves their guaranteed weekly time slot.

  • Students are welcome to attend alternate sessions during the week at no additional charge if space allows.

  • Priority for open slots is always given to students registered in that specific class.

  • Bonus classes and extra sessions are often offered throughout the semester and on breaks and are open to all active students.

Payment Terms:

Monthly payments are due by the 5th of each month. Invoices are sent by the 1st of each month unless paid in full in advance.

Accepted Payment Methods:

Venmo, PayPal, check, cash (see invoice for details).
