Packing & Preparation

Clothing (days can be quite hot, and nights relatively cool)

• Comfortable clothes for taiko workshops and for the concert

• Swimwear for swimming

• Hiking clothes and hiking boots

• Sweater and cozy sweatpants for cool evenings.

• Rain jacket in case of unpredictable weather

Camping gear (for those camping):

• Tent, sleeping bag, and air mattress (can be purchased from Walmart in Ephraim if needed)

• Camping chair for relaxation

• Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries

• Portable power bank for charging devices 

• Toiletries (shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.)

• Towels (bath and beach)

• Sunscreen / bug repellent

• Personal medication

• Fishing tackle (if you plan to fish). We have a limited amount of tackle which you are welcome to use

• Fishing license (this can be purchased at Walmart in Ephraim)

Food and drinks:

• Water bottle or water reservoir (Camlebak) for hiking and other outdoor activities.

• Groceries can be purchased at Walmart or Market Fresh in Manti

Taiko equipment:

• Bachi. Shime, Odaiko and chudaiko bachi recommended. See our complete list.

• Ear protection (if needed)

• Fue, Chappas, Atarigane

Miscellaneous:

• Cash or card for personal expenses

• Travel Insurance

• Camera to capture memories

• A good book for relaxation
